Today provided some amazing spring conditions with sunny skies and temperatures making it to 60 degrees at the base. I felt such a fun vibe out on the slopes today with costumes, shorts, green bunny ears, and big smiles! Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies with a high of 58 degrees at the base and 54 degrees at higher elevations. We have winds of 45 to 55 mph at the summits and gusts to 40 mph at the base. We plan to operate the Madonna 2 Lift tomorrow instead of the Madonna 1 Lift due to the forecasted high winds. Please check the snow report in the morning for the most up-to-date information on lift operations. There will be limited grooming operations tonight due to warm temperatures, this will allow us to help preserve our snowpack. We plan to groom 13 trails on Morse Mountain tonight. We plan to have 38 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. Surface conditions are machine groomed and spring conditions with average base depths of 10 to 46 inches. This Sunday, March 23rd is the Vertical Challenge.
